The Ursuline College Blackrock is a girls’ Catholic school, based on the Ursuline Education Philosophy, dedicated to the formation of young women in the spirit of St. Angela Merici. We are a community of students, staff, parents, Board of Management and Ursuline Sisters wherein each individual is respected, appreciated and encouraged to develop his/her individual talents and gifts.
We are committed to the constant practice of gentleness, courtesy, kindness and justice in all our dealings and relationships and in the spirit of St. Angela.

We aim to promote Gospel values of respect for the individual, justice for all and compassion. Furthermore, we aim to celebrate these, to develop the full potential of each girl and prepare her for life in a changing world.
We strive for academic excellence for each student with respect to her ultimate goal and the development of her full potential, spiritually, emotionally, physically, intellectually, aesthetically and socially.
In pursuit of our aims we welcome the constructive co-operation and support of parents, of the churches and of the community. We aim to cherish and support each staff member in a professional and in an individual capacity.
Inspired by these ideals we dedicate ourselves to the continuous development of our school and we are committed to the education of young women in a manner which fosters in them the visions, hopes and dreams which are their right and towards which they can strive with confidence and strength.
