Guidance on Making Subject Option Choices

Students will study 10 examination subjects at Junior Cycle Level.

This is comprised of 7 Core subjects and 3 Optional Subjects. All girls study 3 non examinable wellbeing subjects also. The below table outlines the spread of subjects.

All girls will be asked to choose 4 subjects in order of preference. The school will endeavour to give every girl their first 3 options, however in some cases, due to the spread of option choices, this may not be possible and girls will be given their 4th choice option instead.

2020 Time Line for Subject Option Choices

We ask that parents log on to VSWare with their daughters and complete the subject option process the week beginning Monday 3rd February.

The link to VSWare can be found by scrolling to the bottom of this web page.

Parents will receive a text on this day reminding them that VSWare is open.

All girls will be provided with guidance, information booklets and advice on their subject options choices ahead of the option choice week.

A copy of the subject option booklet can be found here.

When parents log in to VSWare, a tab  entitled "Subject Options" can be found along the top left side of the page.

Parents should ensure that 4 options are chosen. In the event of your daughters 3rd preference subject not being available, her 4th choice will be used instead.

If parents have any questions, please contact the school office for support.
